The Motion Labs Load*Cell System is a robust, precision-engineered load monitoring solution ideal for live event rigging, arena installations, and other demanding applications. Each Load*Cell is constructed from rugged stainless steel and available in 2-ton or 5-ton rated capacities, with all structural components designed to meet a 5:1 safety factor, ensuring industry-standard strength and reliability.
The system uses digital RS485 communication to transmit load data to the Cell*Mate Hub, with each LoadCell connecting via a 6-pin XLR cable rated for up to 1,000 feet without signal loss. Precision spherical bearings at both ends allow the LoadCell to self-align under load, preventing side-loading and ensuring accurate measurements. Each unit is individually calibrated and tested, and arrives pre-rigged with standard 5/8″ or 3/4″ shackles, ready for immediate deployment.
At the heart of the system, the Cell*Mate Hub aggregates input from up to eight Load*Cells, transmitting data over a single XLR line up to 4,000 feet to the Cell*Mate Digital Display module. The hub includes a truss clamp for easy rig mounting, minimizing cable runs and clutter. It operates on 120/240VAC via PowerCon input, and features individual self-resetting fuses to protect each port.
